Join a Minecraft server on Xbox
On Xbox, your account is already a Microsoft account: there is nothing to sign in to. Add HubyOnMC as a friend, join their world, and pick your server from the list. It is the shortest guide on the site.

Before you start
- Minecraft up to date on the Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One.
- Online play enabled: according to Microsoft, online multiplayer on Xbox requires a Game Pass Core subscription. Check what the console tells you.
- On a child account, parental permission for multiplayer and for adding friends.
The steps

Add HubyOnMC as a friend
In the game menu : PlayFriendsAdd Friend
In Minecraft: Play, Friends tab, Add Friend, then search for HubyOnMC. You can also do it from the Xbox guide (Xbox button, People, Find someone). The request is accepted automatically.

Join the Huby world
In the game menu : PlayFriendsJoinable Friends
In the Friends tab, under Joinable Friends, HubyOnMC offers a world named Huby. Select it: you load a small world that shows a menu.

Pick your server
Featured servers, well-known public servers, then your own: pick one, and the Xbox connects to it. Add Server saves an address and a port in your list, kept with your account.
Why a friend, even on Xbox?
You might expect Microsoft’s own console to get special treatment. It doesn’t: on Xbox as on PlayStation and Switch, Minecraft’s Servers tab only lists Mojang’s partner servers, and no address can be typed in. What works everywhere is joining a friend’s world. Huby is a world kept open around the clock by the HubyOnMC account; it shows you a list and transfers you to the server you choose. The reasons are told in this article.
Something not working?
HubyOnMC doesn’t show up in search
Check the spelling, as one word. On a child account or an account with restrictions, adding friends may be blocked: a parent has to allow it in the Microsoft family settings.
The request stays pending
It is usually accepted in under a minute. Relaunch the game to refresh the Friends tab. If nothing changes after ten minutes, let us know on Discord.
Joinable Friends shows nothing
Leave the Friends tab and come back, or relaunch the game: the list does not refresh on its own. Also check, under Settings, Account, Privacy & online safety, that you are allowed to join multiplayer games. If HubyOnMC is your friend but never joinable, the hub is probably down for maintenance.
Disconnected on arrival at the server
The transfer happened; it is the destination that refuses: server full, updating, or closed to Bedrock players. Go back to Huby and try another server. For Java servers running through Geyser, see the servers page.
