Entry via the server list

Add Huby on phone and tablet

On phone and tablet, Minecraft has an “Add server” button. So Huby is not a workaround here: it is a server list that follows you from your phone to your console.

Phone and tablet (iOS, Android)About 3 minutes

Before you start

  • Minecraft (the Bedrock edition from the App Store or Google Play), up to date.
  • A Microsoft account signed in within the game: it is what lets Huby keep your server list and give it back to you on console.

The steps

  1. Step 1

Sign in with a Microsoft account

In the game menu : Home screenSign in

On the home screen, choose Sign in and follow the screens. Without an account you can enter Huby, but your server list will not be kept from one visit to the next.

  2. Step 2

Add Huby to your server list

In the game menu : PlayServersAdd Server

Play, Servers tab, then scroll down to Add Server. Server name: Huby. Server address: hubyy.fr. Port: 19134. Save.

    hubyy.fr19134

  3. Step 3

Join Huby and pick your server

In the game menu : PlayServersHuby

Huby appears in your list, at the bottom of the Servers tab. Join it: a menu lists the featured servers, the well-known public servers, then your own. Pick one, and the game connects to it.

What is Huby for on a phone?

The game already knows how to add servers, true. Huby brings three things. First, a list that follows you: a server added in Huby from your phone is there when you join Huby from your PS5, Xbox or Switch, because the list is tied to your Microsoft account rather than to the device. Second, the featured servers and the well-known public servers, in one place. Third, an easy way to help a friend on console: you test the server from your phone, then tell them “join Huby, it’s in the list”.

Something not working?

“Unable to connect to server”

Check the address and the port, with no spaces. Try Wi-Fi if you were on mobile data, and the other way round: some networks block the port Minecraft uses. If the hub is down for maintenance, Discord says so.

Huby is empty, or it isn’t my list

The list is tied to the Microsoft account signed in to the game. If you switched accounts, or if you play without one, Huby cannot recognise you. Sign in with the same account as on your console.

Disconnected on arrival at the server

The transfer happened; it is the server you chose that refuses: full, updating, or closed to Bedrock players. Go back to Huby and try another server.

And on console?

There, no “Add server” button: you go through an Xbox friend. The PS5, PS4, Xbox and Switch guides walk through the three moves.

What next?

A question, a blocker, a server to suggest? That is what the Discord is for, and the FAQ already answers the most common questions.
