Hubyy

Terms of use

These terms cover the use of Huby: the Minecraft hub (the menu world and the HubyOnMC Xbox account), the hubyy.fr website, the server directory with its votes, reviews and API, the Discord server and the sponsor.hubyy.fr page. By using any of them, you accept these terms.

Buying a featured spot is also covered by the sponsorship terms, which prevail for that purchase. Who publishes Huby, and how to reach them: see the legal notice.

1. What Huby is, and what it is not

Huby is a free hub for Minecraft Bedrock: a small world that lists servers and transfers you to them, so console players can get in without changing their DNS. It is free for players, with no Huby sign-up for the hub or for reading the site.

Huby is not a game server. The servers it lists are run by third parties, with their own rules, content and shops. Huby is not a Minecraft product either: it is neither approved by nor associated with Mojang or Microsoft. Its code is open source (GPL) and builds on BedrockConnect and MCXboxBroadcast.

2. The hub

You enter through the HubyOnMC Xbox friend (on console) or its address (on phone and Windows). Your Xbox account, console and Minecraft remain subject to the rules of Microsoft, Mojang and your console maker: Huby is not responsible for them and can do nothing about your account with them.

Prohibited: attacking or overloading the hub or the HubyOnMC account (flooding, scanning, denial of service), trying to get around its limits, exploiting a flaw instead of reporting it (write to us), or sending friend requests to the HubyOnMC account in bulk.

3. Third-party servers

Once transferred, you are on a third party’s server. Huby controls neither its content, nor its availability, nor its rules, nor what it sells: a purchase on a server is a contract between you and that server.

A server “featured” at the top of the menu is picked by hand (online, up to date, reachable on Bedrock, moderated, with a website or Discord where the rules can be read): this is not a guarantee. A “Sponsored” server has paid for its spot; the label says so. To report a server, write on the Discord or to contact@e-quantum.fr.

4. The server directory

The directory can be read without an account. To add or manage a server, you sign in with Discord.

Adding a server: the address must be public and answer Huby’s probe. A server already listed cannot be added twice. Each account can add 3 servers. Adding a server does not make you its owner.

Unclaimed listings: Huby also creates listings from public information (what the server announces, its website, its public Discord). They carry the label “unclaimed listing”. Whoever runs the server can claim it or ask for its removal: it is then hidden.

Claiming a listing: with a DNS TXT record on the server’s domain or, for a bare IP address, through a check by the team on the Discord. Claiming a listing that is not yours is prohibited; Huby may take it back.

What you write on your listing: description, categories, logo, screenshots, links. You are responsible for it. You hold the rights to what you publish, and you allow Huby to display it on the site, in the public API and in the hub, and to let search engines read it, for as long as the listing exists. Images are re-read and re-saved.

Prohibited on listings: unlawful, hateful or discriminatory content, sexual content, scams and fake giveaways, account selling, content you have no rights to, other people’s personal data, impersonating another server or a brand, advertising unrelated to the server.

5. Votes

To vote, you give your Minecraft username and pass Cloudflare Turnstile’s anti-bot check. A username can vote for the same server once every 4 hours, and one IP address at most 20 times a day across the whole directory. The monthly ranking resets to zero on the 1st; totals never reset.

Prohibited: voting with a bot or a script, with a username that is not yours, with several usernames or a proxy to get past the limit, and buying, selling or trading votes.

A vote’s reward depends on the server: Huby passes it your username, never your IP address, and guarantees neither the reward nor its delivery. Write to the server if it does not arrive.

Huby may cancel votes it considers fraudulent, correct a ranking, and ban an account, a username, an address or an IP address.

6. Reviews

After a counted vote, you can leave a review: a rating from 1 to 5 and, if you want, a text of at most 300 characters. It is public, signed with your username and dated, and published immediately. There is one review per username and per server: the next one replaces the previous one.

How reviews are handled (article L111-7-2 of the French Consumer Code):

  • A review is published only after a counted vote. That is no proof that its author played on the server, or that the username is theirs: reviews are not verified in any other way.
  • An automatic filter refuses links, addresses and certain words. Reviews are not read before they are published.
  • The listing shows the five latest reviews with text, newest first, and the average rating; the vote page shows ten. Only rated reviews count in the average. A hidden review does not count.
  • A listing’s owner can report a review; the team can hide or delete it. Anyone can ask for the removal of a review about them, or their own: see the legal notice.
  • A server cannot pay to influence its reviews or rating, and sponsoring changes neither.

A review gives your experience, without insults, advertising or personal data, and without anything offered in return for a good rating. A review that does not respect this is hidden or deleted.

7. The directory API

The directory’s public data (listings, statuses, histories) can be read through the API without a key. Voting and rewards go through a key specific to your server, which you create from your listing.

Keep your key secret and do not share it: anything that goes through it is deemed to come from you. Do not overload the API; Huby may limit or cut off abusive access and renew a key that has leaked.

8. The Discord server

On the Huby Discord, the server rules and Discord’s terms of service apply. The team can warn, mute, kick or ban, and auto-moderation removes by itself messages that break the rules. To contest a sanction, open a ticket with the bot or write to contact@e-quantum.fr: the decision is reviewed.

Discord sets its own minimum age, generally 13. Signing in to the directory with Discord adds you to the server.

9. Age

Huby asks for neither your age nor your identity. If you are a minor, play with your parents’ agreement; your console’s family settings remain the right way to supervise a child’s online play. Ordering a featured spot requires being of legal age, or having a parent’s agreement.

10. Removing, hiding, banning

To enforce these terms, Huby may hide or remove a listing, a review or a vote, refuse a claim, and ban a Discord account, a username, a server address or an IP address. A banned account can no longer add servers, claim listings or place orders. The measure is proportionate to the abuse; where possible you are told beforehand, except in the case of serious abuse or urgency. To contest it, write to contact@e-quantum.fr or open a ticket on the Discord.

11. Availability

The hub, the site and the directory are provided as they are. They may stop for maintenance or an incident, or because an update to Minecraft, or to the Xbox network the hub relies on, breaks them for a while. Huby does its best to warn on the Discord and fix things fast, without guaranteeing continuous availability. For sponsors, lost time is given back as set out in the sponsorship terms.

12. Liability

Huby answers for its own faults to the extent the law allows. It is not responsible for third-party servers, for Microsoft, Mojang or Discord services, or for your internet access, nor for indirect damage. Nothing here limits the rights the law gives you as a consumer.

13. Intellectual property

The site’s texts and illustrations are the publisher’s, unless stated otherwise; the software is open source (GPL). Listings, logos and screenshots belong to their authors. The trademarks mentioned belong to their owners: see the legal notice.

14. Personal data

The data Huby processes, how long it is kept and your rights are described in the privacy policy.

15. Changes

Huby may change these terms. The update date is at the top of the page; an important change is announced on the Discord. Continuing to use Huby after a change means you accept it. An order for a featured spot remains governed by the sponsorship terms accepted when it was placed.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. In case of a dispute, write first to contact@e-quantum.fr: most are settled there. Failing agreement, the French courts have jurisdiction, without depriving a consumer of the right to go to the courts of their place of residence. Recourse to a mediator for a featured-spot purchase is set out in the sponsorship terms.
